Entrepreneurship Development Cell

Entrepreneurship Development Cell has set up in Vel Tech Multi Tech campus to promote and educate young students to establish their own ventures by taking the benefit of the policies of the government. The cell organizes different activities and events to create entrepreneurial thinking among the students with Mr.A.Thamarai Selvan as the Chief Coordinator and Nodal officer.

Higher Education Cell

Mission

The mission of the Higher Education Cell is to prepare and give exposure to students for pursuing higher studies abroad and in India.

The Center identifies the Aptitudes of the Students for Higher Studies; accordingly, the Department arranges ‘Guidance’ through Lectures by eminent personalities so as to assist the students in making their right choice regarding the Subjects, Courses and Universities for Higher Studies, both in India and abroad. This is a well structured Support System for pursuing Higher Studies.

About AIMA (All India Management Association):

The All India Management Association (AIMA) was created as an apex body of professional management with active support of the Government of India in 1957. AIMA is a pioneer in the field of management education program rendering services in various platforms like training, testing, executive development, placement support services and thought leadership. AIMA is a group- a body to pool management thoughts in the country, a forum to develop a national managerial ethos, an organization to facilitate the furtherance of the management profession in the country. AIMA is an active member of the Asian Association of Management Organizations (AAMO), which is the Asia-Pacific regional body of the World Management Council (CIOS).

AIMA maintains close links with a number of overseas professional institutions like the American Management Association, Chartered Institute of Management (UK), all the National Management Organizations in the Asia Pacific Region and St Gallen University of Switzerland among others.

AIMA Activities:

  • AIMA provides numerous education services like short term, long term Diploma courses to enhance the students in Management domain. To prepare Graduates for Management Career through AIMA’s unique blend of quality and flexibility.
  • To enable working professionals rise in their organizations.
  • To facilitate change of career to managerial and business arena.
  • To enable students to take up B-School of their choice among our Nodal Centers.
  • The program is designed to develop conceptual knowledge and behavioral skills in students who continue to work in industry, government or other organizations.

Future Plan of Action with AIMA:

Our institute is to be partnered with AIMA in future for improving student’s skills and to make our students to be well equipped with knowledge and soft skills through various programs like Conference, Management Events, Quiz etc. which gives practical exposure from industrial experts.

The Computer Society of India is the first and largest body of computer professionals in India. The wide Spectrum of members is committed to the advancement of theory and practices of Computer engineering and technology system.

It is a place to Share their knowledge and exchange ideas on what they felt was a fast emerging sector.It is the largest and most professionally managed association of and for IT Professionals in India.

The Society Encourages and assist professionals to maintain integrity and competence of the profession and fosters a sense of partnership among members.

It is a professional body where computer professionals meet to exchange views and information.

About ICT Academy of Tamil Nadu :

ICT Academy of Tamil Nadu (ICTACT), an Initiative of Government of India, Government of Tamil Nadu and Industry, is a not-for-profit autonomous organization focusing to improve the quality of students passing out of institutions in Tamil Nadu, to make them industry ready and immediately employable in the ICT industry comprising the ICT services and the ICT manufacturing sectors. About IETE:

The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) is a leading professional society devoted to the advancement of science and technology of “Electronics, Telecommunications and IT”.

The basic aim and objective of IETE is to promote the general advancement of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology and allied subjects & application of these and to facilitate the exchange of information and ideas on these subjects amongst IETE members.

Our college started the IETE chapter in the year of 2010.The inaugural function was presided by Dr.T.G.Venkatesh Department of ECE,IIT,Chennai.

To enhance the quest for knowledge, technical seminars, workshops and guest lectures were conducted through sponsorship from IETE. Moreover, IETE has facilitated with technical chairs in association with the technical conferences organized in our college. Our college was awarded with the “IETE ISF Award” in the year 2012 for the best active IETE ISF of Chennai centre. Also a total of 631 students and 10 faculty members have enrolled as members in IETE since inception.
